How to handle GS?
Introduction to ETL product certification
ETL is the exclusive logo of Intertek, the world's leading quality and safety services company, with a history dating back to 1896.
After the American great inventor Thomas Edison founded the Lamp Testing Bureau, it was renamed "Electrical Testing Laboratories" in 1904, which became today's ETL, enjoying a high reputation in the United States and around the world.
In the more than a century since its inception, ETL has grown into a diversified Laboratory and is listed as a National Recognized Testing Laboratory-NRTL by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
At the same time, the Standards Council of Canada-SCC has Accredited ETL as an Accredited Certification Body and Accredited Testing Organization, and Accredited it as an independent product safety Certification Organization in Canada.
Semko was founded in Sweden in 1925. It was originally a compulsory safety certificate issuing unit approved by the Swedish government. It can be said that it is the inspection bureau of Sweden.
Semko Inspection Institute is one of the earliest organizations engaged in safety testing in the world, and is listed as a national accredited laboratory by the Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment-SWEDAC. It is a Notified Body under several EU directives.
It is also the testing institution with the largest number of test and certification reports issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)CB program.
Semko was acquired by Intertek Group in 1994.
Federal authorities in the United States do not have any mandatory certification requirements for electrical products, and recognize most certification bodies, including ETL, UL, etc.
In fact, any NRTL approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) can provide independent evaluation, testing and certification services for electrical and gas (oil) products according to current safety standards.
Like UL and CSA, ETL may issue an ETL certification mark based on either the UL standard or the U.S. National Standard test, or a combination of the UL standard or the U.S. National Standard and the CSA or the Canadian Standard test.
The "US" on the lower right of the ETL logo is for the United States, the "C" on the lower left is for Canada, and both "US" and "C" are for both countries.
Any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product bearing the ETL mark indicates that the product has met the minimum requirements of the universally recognized product safety standards of the United States and Canada. It has been tested by INTERTEK, the National Accredited Testing Laboratory (NRTL), and meets the relevant national standards.
It also means that the factory has agreed to undergo rigorous and regular inspections to ensure that the products are of consistent quality for sale in both the United States and Canada.
For distributors, retailers and consumers, that means they buy products that have been tested and certified by a third party.
ETL product certification process

2. Send samples to the laboratory.
3. Test samples in the laboratory

Initial factory inspection and quarterly factory inspection
If you are applying for ETL certification for the first time, after the test passes, our factory inspector will go to the factory for the first factory audit.
The factory should make the necessary preparation work, prepare the product sample and related documents (such as parts specification, etc.).
ITS will send the factory inspection notice to inform the customer of the factory inspection date and the fee to be paid. The customer needs to fill in the factory inspection notice and send it to ITS by fax.
Identify the auditor (get the auditor's phone number).
Inspection requirements:
ETL factory audit is a factory audit that reviews the quality control system of the factory applying for ETL certification and approves the inspection of the main structure and main parts of your product according to the ETL report.
It is roughly divided into the following parts:
1.IQC inspection report (raw material incoming inspection).
2.QC inspection report (100% quality inspection on the production line).
3.Verification certificate of pressure tester.
4.Pressure gauge operation advocacy book.
5.Assembly process of ETL certified products.
6.ETL Marking.
7.Plastic material UL yellow card (if the product contains plastic material).
8.Whether the structure and components of ETL certified products are in full compliance with the ETL report.
9.On the inspection day, the factory needs to prepare an ETL certified product sample and ETL label
■ If, after the first factory audit, the manufacturer moves to another location, we will conduct the first factory audit again.
■ After the first factory audit, we will conduct a quarterly review of the plant.
Obtain ETL certification
When the documents have been approved, the product tests have been approved, the factory has been approved and all the payments have been paid, we will sign them
Authorization To Mark ATM certificates that approve the use of ETL column names.
What is the Control Number?
Control Number means the ETL Control Number issued by Intertek.
The number consists of seven digits and corresponds to a unique combination of the applicant and the manufacturer.
For example, if the same manufacturer A and different applicants B and C both apply for ETL, A and B need to have A control number, and A and C also need to have A control number.
And when we conduct factory audit on factory A, we will charge factory audit fee according to the number of control numbers held by the factory.
Labelmarking certification has close cooperation with ITS organizations to help enterprises complete one-stop service from sorting out data to obtaining certificates.
Issuing a short time, price concessions, save trouble is the best choice of enterprise certification.
